Invitation to ISRPTCON 2017

Season’s Greetings from Aligarh – The citadel of learning!

It gives me immense pleasure to inform the concerned medical fraternity that the 9th annual conference of Indian Society for Rational Pharmacotherapeutics (ISRPTCON 2017) is going to be held at the Department of Pharmacology, Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College, Aligarh Muslim University, India. It is indeed an honour and privilege to host such an august meeting of ISRPT, wherein we seek active participation from all medical graduates particularly Pharmacologists from all over India and across the globe.

The theme of the present conference is “Rational Therapeutics – A Step for Healthy Nation" to seek and explore the ever-changing discipline of Pharmacology and to delve on recent advances and its applications to quality medical education and patient care for healthy nation. Every patient deserves the right treatment the first time, every time.  The proposed academic and scientific conglomeration scheduled from November 20 and 21, 2017 would give the right impetus and nidus to the evolving realms of rational drug therapy and give us an opportunity to address new horizons. The time for introspection has come making this specialty of Pharmacology more transparent, more accountable to the needs of the society and nation!

The time has come when we need to think and look for a paradigm shift being sensitive to the demands of the society and nation. Syllabi for the students both at undergraduate and postgraduate level in Medical Pharmacology need to be so structured in a way that the students also experience and learn the basic principles in health and disease as it is simpler to appreciate these basic tenets in patients and various disease forms. The journey becomes interesting when the answers so sought give a rationale and comprehensive management protocol to the disease in question.

Keeping the above issues in mind, ISRPT, which was founded in 2007 and since then has been phenomenal in development of safe and rational and effective use of medicines to help and strengthen the objective of the society gave the onus to us to organize such an august exposition from November 20-21, 2017. A whole-hearted and complete cooperation from your side is humbly solicited, wherein necessary input and feedback from your side would indeed go a long way in sculpting and etching the finer details and appreciation of Rational Pharmaceutics.

The last date of registration is August 30, 2017 and it is humbly requested that early registration of the delegates be made as the actual numbers of the participants and delegates need to be appreciated for the needful. This would also help us in our endeavor to seek for extra-mural support from government/semi-government organizations. 

In addition, a one-day pre-conference workshop on “Rational Prescribing among Medical Practitioners” is also planned to be held on 19 November 2017 along with some newer thought-provoking areas of discussion.

You are thus requested to motivate your faculty members, junior colleagues, postgraduate students and others interested in the fascinating frontiers of pharmacology to send in their research articles for free poster and paper presentation.
